Some scraps from the cutting room floor
It’s almost an iron clad certainty that any book, whether it be factual or fictional, winds up on the bookstore shelves at about half the size of the original manuscript, and California Pop is no exception. The final edit is the result of over a dozen drafts progressiving paring it down to print form. Much is lost in that process, and most of it should stay lost. But, there might be a few little pieces that are ommitted for reasons other than a lack of quality narrative, and if I find any, I’ll leave them here.
